God is a Time Lord
First impressions
When I first got the book I couldn't put it down! Being a Friday and my turn to cook my husband was looking high and low for his dinner that 'must be somewhere' but I just wanted to finish the section and I was three quarters of the way through. I don't think I will ever view time and faith in the same way again! Drawing on ways God/Jesus met with characters in the bible and how time converges between the spiritual and human and the transformative effervescence that occurs - it really made me think about my life in the everyday.
Are you in the loop?
Dr Who
Central to this book Jason uses the Dr Who series as a means to understand our time relationship with God - "a mirroring of divine intervention amidst our chaotic existence." The central question the reader is asked to ponder is - "Is time merely a linear progression of events, or do vast interconnections bind moments, choices, and consequences beyond our comprehension?" Jason expands on the idea that "life is not linear but a series of circular moments where experiences loop back on themselves revealing deeper truths with each return."
Beauty of faith
For me, this is a book not to be read "once" but needs to be kept 'close' to remind us of our fleeting presence and where our gaze should fix. Jason says:
"The beauty of faith lies in its ability to connect us not only with the divine but also with each other. Sharing our journeys-our struggles, hopes, and moments of adoration - creates a tapestry of shared experiences that reflects God's eternal promises."
